Huawei launched the Y7a smartphone aimed at the disputed basic device market. The phone has an eight-core processor from its own manufacturer, a 6.67-inch display, a quadruple camera and a slick battery, with a capacity of 5,000 mAh.
Promotional materials and specifications for Y7a indicate that it is a version of the Huawei P smart 2021 model launched last month. While P smart is aimed at the European market, Y7a will be sold in countries in Southeast Asia and Latin America.

The processor is the same Kirin 710A used in the European version. The chip stands out not only because it was designed by Huawei's subsidiary, HiSilicon, but also because it was manufactured in China by SMIC, not TSMC Taiwan or Samsung Foundry South Korea.
In addition to octa-core processors, Y7a has 4 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage options. At this point is the main difference for P Smart 2021 which is only sold with 128 GB.
The photography set has four cameras, a 48 megapixel main camera, an 8 MP wide-angle camera and two 2 MP sensors: macro and depth. The selfie is responsible for the 8 megapixel camera, mounted on a circular cutout at the top of the screen.
The 6.67-inch display uses a prominent IPS LCD panel for FullHD+ resolution - 1,080 x 2,400 pixels -, from the standard HD display used in the segment. Biometric authentication, on the other hand, is caused by sensors mounted on the side of the phone.
The battery offers 5,000 mAh and can be recharged via USB-C input with up to 22.5 W.According to Huawei, Y7a has up to 38.2 hours of usage autonomy in 4G (VoLTE), 16, 6 hours of online video or 12 hours of internet browsing.
Like other Huawei models, Y7a does not have an official Google app. Therefore, the phone left the factory with an alternative package of Chinese manufacturers, dubbed Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), installed on Android 10 systems with EMUI 10.1 customization.
Huawei Y7A went on sale in stores in Malaysia on October 30, with a suggested price of 799 ringgit (about R$1,080) for models with 128 GB of storage. The phone is scheduled for sale in Latin America, with no confirmation of which country it will be available in.
