Huawei hasn't gotten a good result lately for political reasons, but it's not giving up and introducing new devices that are getting interesting. The new thing today from Chinese manufacturers is the MatePad 5G tablet, a cheaper version of the familiar Huawei MatePad Pro.
Huawei MatePad 5G is another tablet from the MatePad series presented this year. The high-end Huawei MatePad Pro in versions with LTE or 5G is already well known on the market, as is the MatePad 10.4 tablet that only comes with Wi-Fi or LTE connectivity. Huawei MatePad 5G new nameless "Pro" is a suitable model between its two predecessors. It resembles matepad 10.4 but accepts 5G modems.
Huawei MatePad 5G is equipped with IPS display with 10.4-inch diagonal, 2000 x 1200 resolution, and 470 nits brightness. The bottom line is the Kirin 820 chip (Cortex-A76 2.36 GHz + 3 x Cortex-A76 2.22 GHz + 4 x Cortex-A55 1.84 GHz, Mali-G57 GPU) with a 5G modem, which also allows you to use 6 Wi-Fi networks. Here you can see the biggest difference compared to the Huawei MatePad Pro 5G model, where a more efficient Kirin 990 chip is found. MatePad 10.4 already installed Kirin 810.
The work of the processor is supported by 6 GB of RAM, for applications we get 128 G B. This space can be added by using a 512 GB microSD memory card.
Huawei MatePad 5G's front camera has an 8 megapixel resolution, as does the camera on the back of the case. The tablet's multimedia capabilities are enhanced by a four-speaker system placed in the corner, and four microphones for noise-free conversations. Specifications also include a USB C port, which also serves as a headphone output (3.5 mm jack adapter), and a GPS receiver.
The battery with a capacity of 7250 mAh can be charged with 22.5 W charger. It takes 2.5 hours to fully charge the battery and 30% will appear in the battery indicator after 30 minutes.
