Entered in the cinema-class video camera category, the EOS C70 carries a Super35 sensor that supports the latest Generation Canon Dual Gain Output (DGO) technology. This DGO technology is capable of reading every pixel at two different gain levels, one for saturation protection and hightlight, the other for suppressing noise in the shadow area.
According to Canon, the Canon EOS C70 can support dynamic ranges of up to 16+ stops, can record in DCI 4K/60p or 2K/120p format. It can also record 4K/120p and 2K/180p video without expanding the dynamic range. For recording options, All-I and Intra-Frame support with Canon XF-AVC or MP4 codec options (H.265) is available.
For its features the Canon EOS C70 brings dual-pixel autofocus technology, a motor 10-Stop ND filter system, supports C-Log2/C-Log3, PQ, HLG gamma for HDR, two mini XLR ports for microphone input, a 3.4-inch LCD screen, has thirteen customizable buttons and custom LUT options are available directly on the camera.
The camera is also equipped with a cooling system. So, it could allow the EOS C70 to record video at high resolution for a longer period of time. In addition, canon EOS C70 supports the ecosystem of Cinema EOS accessories such as electronic viewfinders, lens adapters or external monitors.
