The Xiaomi continues to launch its smartphones around the world. This time, the news was handed down to India. Most strikingly, Redmi 9 is priced at 8,999 rupees or the equivalent of about US$121. The price of the device can vary up to 9,999 rupees, if selected with 4 GB + 128 GB.
On the technical sheet, the Chinese giant's new phone has a set of rear cameras housed in square form. Located at the back, in the upper left corner of the smartphone, the device has a 13-megapixel main lens and a two-megapixel secondary depth sensor.

In the same sense, the camera allows several software tricks, such as AI scene detection, as well as portrait or professional modes. Still on the back, there is a digital reader. The phone also has a 5 megapixel front camera.

On the front, the phone has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. For now, in India, Redmi 9 is available in a selection of Sky Blue, Carbon Black, and Sporty Orange colors.
Another new thing involving this device is the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset, which is intended for gaming. There is 4 GB of RAM and two phone models, 64 or 128 GB, both of which can be extended up to 512 GB with a microsSD card.
The mobile phone system runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 10. It's worth mentioning that this is the first Xiaomi phone in India to come with the MIUI 12 interface, which even offers some features.
Redmi 9 has a 5,000 mAh battery that supports charging on a 10W micro-USB. The phone also has a dual SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and 3.5 mm audio input.
Although launched, sales will begin in the country starting August 31. Purchases can be made through mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Homes and Mi Studios platforms.
In an official statement, China highlighted redmi 8's 25 million units sold worldwide, which it said meant consumer confidence in the brand. Still in the document, Xiaomi says it hopes to build a legacy under the numerical series with the new Redmi 9.
