The Smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 765G chipset. Perhaps, that is the only one that indicates clearly that Nord is not a flagship smartphone. OnePlus also promises to support Nord by releasing a two-year OS update and a security patch for a long year.
When this smartphone is removed from the packaging, you will notice that OnePlus Nord runs on the Android 10 operating system. In addition, the Fluid AMOLED 6.44-inch display with FullHD + resolution has been protected using Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
For security, OnePlus has equipped Nord with a fingerprint reader inside the screen. Unlocking the screen of your face will also be a choice that can be utilized by the user. In the upper left corner of the screen, OnePlus puts two cameras at once in a pill-shaped punch-hole.
Both of the front cameras had a 32 MP (Sony IMX616) configuration with a 0.8 um pixel size combined with an ultra-wide 8 MP lens with an angle of view of up to 105 degrees. Had such a point of view, OnePlus claimed that group selfies with Nord could be done without a selfie.
Meanwhile, on the back, OnePlus slipped the 64 MP main camera sensor with an aperture of f/1.75, OIS and EIS. Basically, it's the same camera module as found on OnePlus 8 (Sony IMX586, pixel size 0.8 um).
One major difference from the OnePlus 8 is that 4K video recording is limited to 30 fps (uniquely, the front camera is capable of recording 4K @ 60 fps). Movie Mode is also available for 21:9 videos in 4K. There is also a slow-mo mode with a resolution of 1,080 P a.k.a. FullHD @ 240 fps.
The 64 MP main camera in Nord is paired with an ultra-wide 8 MP lens with a viewing angle of up to 119 degrees. In addition, OnePlus also pinned a 2 MP macro lens and the last camera module is a 5 MP depth sensor for bokeh photo blindness.
For the power supply, the smartphone has a 4,115 mAh battery and in its sales box, OnePlus includes a Warp Charge 30T charger. Said by OnePlus thanks to the support of Warp Charge 30T, a blank battery can be charged 70% in 30 minutes via Por USB-C.
One thing you need to also take note of, the OnePlus Nord comes without the support of a 3.5 mm audio jack Port. Therefore, OnePlus in the launch event of Nord also introduced its latest TWS, the OnePlus Buds. In addition, the OnePlus Nord is also not equipped with waterproof capabilities.
While it is related to the colors offered, the OnePlus Nord has two color options, namely Blue Marble and Gray Onyx. OnePlus will be marketed first in two regions, Asia and Europe. For the price, €400 in mainland Europe, £380 in the UK and INR 28,000 in India.
The price is certainly for the most basic variant, i.e. 8 GB RAM paired with 128 GB of internal storage. The OnePlus Nord also has the highest variant, the 12 GB RAM + ROM 256 GB which was priced at €500 in Europe or INR 30,000 in India.
