Samsung has just introduced the Galaxy J2 Core (2020) in India. This latest model actually only doubled the storage payload of the original model 2018.
Two years ago the phone adopted Android Go Edition where the OS and embedded applications were designed to run optimally at the lowest hardware though.
Just like the original version, the Galaxy J2 Core Cleanliness 2020 also features a 5-inch LCD with a 540x960px resolution.
On top of the screen is a 5MP selfie camera that perched on an old bezel.
The rear camera has an 8MP sensor and autofocus lens, and can record 1080p video at 30fps.
This year you get a 16GB built-in storage, where 11, 7GB are available for use (the rest are reserved by the system).
Also, there is a microSD card slot up to 256GB and Go Edition has the option to move apps and content to external storage using Smart Manager.
The phone is powered by the Exynos 7570 Quad chipset, a 14nm chip with four Cortex-A53 and Mali-T720 cores.
The Galaxy J2 Core has only 1GB of RAM to work and a 2,600 mAh (removable) battery promises web browsing through LTE for up to 14 hours.
Unfortunately, Samsung does not update the OS. The phone is still running Android 8.0 Oreo Go Edition, just like the original.
