Huawei FreeBuds 3i has a pretty different design with FreeBuds 3. Instead of having an open-fit design, Huawei's upcoming wireless earphones feature an in-ear design with a silicon-material end.
Reported from Gizmochina (22/4), the casing for the battery refill was also reportedly had a different design, as it would be more similar to FreeBuds Lite's casing. However, FreeBuds 3i is wrapped in white, not black.
FreeBuds 3i is actually not a substitute for FreeBuds 3. FreeBuds 3i's Casing is not equipped with wireless charging, but it has the same battery capacity as FreeBuds 3i, which is 410 mAh.
Each FreeBuds 3i driver unit has a larger battery capacity of 37 mAh, compared to 30 mAh in each FreeBuds 3 driver unit at 30 mAh. However, the FreeBuds 3i is reported to have a 3.5-hour durability by activating the ANC, unlike FreeBuds 3 which lasts up to 4 hours in a single battery charge.
Huawei's upcoming wireless earphones also have a dedicated Bluetooth chipset, namely Kirin A1 and have fast pairing with mobile phones running EMUI 10 software.
FreeBuds 3i takes about 1 hour to fully charge and the casing can recharge the earphone battery three times. The duration of the casing itself takes 100 minutes. Each of these earphones weighs 5.5 grams, while the casing weighs 51 grams. No pricing information for Huawei FreeBuds 3i.
