The XB series of Sony earphones stands for Extra Bass. This means that the Earphone series offers better low frequencies so that the resulting sound is more radiant. But the series does not have wireless technology, until they launch Sony's true Wireless Stereo (TWS) earphone XB700.

Reported from What Hifi (4/3), the wireless earphones are claimed to provide battery life up to 8 hours of usage. There is also an additional 8 hours extra power that comes from the casing. Thus, the Sony WF-XB700 has a total of 16 hours of battery life. There is also fast charging which provides an hour of power with only 10 minutes of rechargeable battery.
Sony equips WF-XB700 wireless earphones with small buttons in each of the left and right driver units. These buttons serve as playback access, receive/Stop phone calls, voice assistant activation, and volume level adjustments.
WF-XB700 uses Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, in which each earphone has an individual connection to the device. In terms of codecs, these earphones support AAC and SBC. But unfortunately, Sony does not complement XB700 with the active noise cancelation (ANC) feature, so it cannot dampen noise around it.
Therefore, you can only rely on passive outdoor voice blocking with silicone Eartip. You can also replace the silicone that corresponds to the ear hole, can be selected in the sales package. Available in two colors: Black and blue, Sony WF-XB700 sold at the price of USD130.
