Through the use of the same body structure, it means that all accessories designed for Canon C500 Mark II can also work on Canon C300 Mark III. It uses the EF mount, but also supports the use of the PL mount with an optional kit for attaching the EF cinema lenses.
The heart of the Canon EOS C300 Mark III is the new Super 35mm DGO sensor that is powered by the DIGIC DV7 processor. This DGO system allows sensors to capture up to 16 stops of dynamic range by splitting each pixel into two diodes that simultaneously capture two images at different gain levels.
The two diodes in each pixel are also used to support phase-detection in Canon's Dual Pixel CMOS AF system which will now work up to 120 fps. In addition, the camera also supports the Cinema RAW Light format first announced on the Canon EOS C200. The advantage of this format is that the file size is 1/5 smaller than the standard Cinema RAW format.
About the ability, the Canon EOS C300 Mark III is capable of recording 4K DCI/UHD video up to 120fps, and 2K to 180fps with 4:2:2 10-bit XF-AVC recording. Canon also includes Canon Log 2 and Log 3 support, 12G-SDI output via single BNC cable, I/O timecode, and two CFexpress card slots.
Without a grip, the design of the modular is 183mm wide and 149mm tall with a weight of about 1750 grams. Canon said the camera will be ' available later in 2020 ′ with an estimated retail price of US $10.999. The camera will be equipped with 13 accessories including a 4.3-inch LCD monitor, an GR-V1 grip, a BP-A60 battery, a battery charger, and more.
