Autel EVO II User Manual - What new drone trends will be popular in this year 2020? The one that has been smell is the ability to record 8K video. But that started apparently not DJI, but rather Autel Robotics.
At CES 2020 yesterday, Autel introduced EVO II, the successor to of his Bikin's drone two years ago. As with the DJI Mavic 2, it comes in more than one distinguished model based on its camera: EVO II, EVO II Pro, and EVO II Dual.
The EVO II standard is what will begin the 8K drone era. It packs a 1/2-inch sensor that is capable of recording 7720 x 4320 pixel-resolution video, as well as shooting a 48-megapixel image. The camera can also be zooming to as far as 4x.
The ability to broadcast these three models of EVO II is also not less impressive. 12 optical sensors along with 2 sonar sensors create a comprehensive obstacle avoidance capability (360 degrees). Autel claimed EVO II could detect obstacles from a distance of 30 meters, and then set his own speed to avoid these obstacles so that the pilot could remain focused on controlling his camera.
EVO II is able to transmit the signal to its controller for up to 9 kilometers. Autel also did not forget to defend one of the previous generations of EVO's advantages, namely the remote control that is equipped with the screen, so that users can operate EVO II without having to rely on a smartphone at all.
Also impressive is the 7,100 mAh battery endurance installed on the EVO II. In one charge, Autel claimed EVO II was able to air up to 40 minutes nonstop. It is still inferior to the newly released
V-Coptr Falcon, but has remained impressive considering that other drones, in general, can only fly for 20 – 30 minutes.
