The company that pioneered the wireless connection between DSLR with CamRanger phone, has just announced the Meluncuran CamRanger 2. This device is claimed to have better and more complete features compared to its predecessor.
While the earliest-version CamRanger product is designed for DSLR cameras from Canon and Nikon, the CamRanger 2 is informed that it can also support Sony and Fujifilm mirrorless cameras, such as the Sony a7R IV, Sony a7R III, A7 II, A9, Fujifilm X-T2, Fujifilm X-T3, Fujifilm X-Pro2 and many more. Reported from PetaPixel (29/11), the new device size has a larger dimension of 4.2 x 2.7 x 1.2 inches.
There is a new standard size tripod mount screw for some camera options to be installed, and now the latest device has an SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card compatibility. The battery has also improved, which is the initial version with a capacity of 1,800 mAh, the latest version is reinforced with a capacity of 3,300 mAh.
CamRanger 2 supports both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz wireless networks, now its connectivity range is also further up to 152 meters. There is a new "quick RAW" view mode that uses embedded JPG to review images more quickly.
Other new features include watching/downloading videos from the camera, giving photo rating, saving images to SD card, photo editing/cropping, and much more. The price offered for this wireless camera access is USD350.
