Vuze XR User Manual - Let's consider some popular 360-degree cameras, say GoPro Fusion, Rylo and Insta360 One, and search for similarities between the three. Apparently, the three equally offered a feature to ' extract ' a standard video with an aspect ratio of 16:9 from a 360-degree recording.
This feature is important because not always consumers need to capture the moment from a 360-degree perspective. And this also triggers the appearance of a new category of VR180 camera that Google has launched, the variety of Lenovo and Yi Technologies outputs, which can basically be regarded as a super wide-angle camera.
The question is, do you need a few different cameras for all of that? Not that according to HumanEyes Technology, a 360-degree camera developer named Vuze. They have just announced the Vuze XR, a very versatile 360-degree camera.
Vuze XR is equipped with a camera pair for recording video 360 degrees in the resolution of 5, 7K. Uniquely, at the push of a button, both cameras that were once back on each other can be opened and aligned, so that the camera is ready to be used to record in stereoscopic VR180 format. Of course, the option to extract the 16:9 video was also available.
This flexibility is what Vuze XR has made the main selling value. So instead of requiring creators to buy and carry two different cameras for two purposes (360 º and VR180), they rely solely on one Vuze XR unit, which is packed in a compact, ergonomic form.
