Nikon Coolpix P1000 Manual - About four years ago, Nikon unveiled the Coolpix P900, a superzoom camera that was capable of a lunar month. Now, Nikon is ready to release its successor, the Coolpix P1000, with its more astounding European capabilities.
If P900 relied on the 24-2000mm f/2.8-6.5 lens, P1000 took it to a further level again through a 28-3000mm f/2.8-8 lens. Yes, if the P900 with optical zoom as far as 83x can already present the surface of the moon, P1000 with 125x optical zoom clearly capable of displaying a greater detail of the moon surface again.
As it is still less distant, then Dynamic Fine Zoom feature can be used to achieve a focal length of 6000mm, although the image quality is ensured to be decreased. Still less also? Take advantage of the Digital Zoom feature to make a focal length of 12000mm, although the image quality will be drastically reduced.
Just like P900, P1000 also packs a 1/2.3-inch sensor, with a resolution of 16 megapixels and an ISO range of 100-6400. What distinguishes, P1000 is much more flexible because it can shoot in RAW format. For video, P1000 is ready to be used to record 4K video 30 fps or 1080p 60 fps.
The physical P1000 tends to significant due to the lens. In the most distant zoom position, the length reaches 36 cm, and the weight is also around 1.4 kg. The 2.36 million dots electronic viewfinder has been pinned to the back of it, while underneath it has a 3-inch LCD that can be resized to its liking.
