Canon has just launched the EOS M200. When viewed from the series and numbers, this is a mirrorless camera that goes into entry-level or beginner segments. The company complementing it with its 24.1-resolution APS-C type sensor.
The resolution of the image sensor is still the same as the M100 model that slid two years ago. But M200 has a more advanced image processing processor, which is Digic 8.
Some of the main features of M200 are Dual Pixel Eye-detect AF and 4K video recording 24p. Reported from Engadget (25/9), the Canon EOS M200 is aimed at smartphone users who want to improve their photo quality. Because of this purpose, M200 has the same body as M100. The two mirrorless layouts are also the same, affordable prices and foldable touchscreen displays.
With the sensors identical to M100, the M200 should also provide quite a good image quality such as his brother, with accurate colors as well as high RAW format detail images. Canon's own Dual Pixel AF promises to focus accuracy, both for video recording and when shooting pictures. There is also an eye-detector AF that the company is going to be much easier to use for beginners. The M200 focused point is 123 points.
In terms of video, M200 can record in 4K resolution at 24 fps. Unfortunately, the crop factor is 1.6 times. Video trimming 1.6 times means a 15-45mm kit lens effectively becomes a 38-115mm lens in 4K mode.
The price offered for the Canon EOS M200 is USD549 million with an EF-M 15-45mm F 4.5-6.3 IS STM kit lens
