Panasonic reportedly developed their first full-frame mirrorless camera through the Lumix S1R and S1. The Japanese manufacturer promises to launch the flagship camera in early 2019. Reported from PetaPixel (1/2), the mirrorless finally got its official announcement and price.
In the Lumix S series, both cameras are equipped with L. Mount lens developed from the cooperation between Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma. "The Lumix S series aims to deliver unprecedented image quality with high resolution, rich gradations, and superior color reproduction," said Panasonic.
The EVF used by the camera has a high resolution of 5.76 million dots. The Viewfinder screen is 3.2 inches in size and 2.1 million dots resolution.
Both the Lumix S1R and S1 have a 225 area focus system, continuous 9 fps shooting, AI-based moving subject detection, 5-way in-body Image Stabilizer (IBIS), the latest new Venus Engine processor made in Panasonic, dual XQD/SD slots, 6K Photo (photo 18 MP resolution from burst 30 fps), 4K Photo (8 MP photo from Burst 60 fps), and the body design is weatherproof.
Panasonic Lumix S1 Camera is equipped with a 24.2 MP full-frame CMOS sensor with a maximum sensitivity of ISO 51200 that can be upgraded up to ISO204800. Just like S1R, S1 can also record the 4K 60p resolution Video for the appearance of the subject's movements to look smooth compared to 4K 30p.
